Dear Passengers is an unreleased airline co-op game by FLEXUS. See its official premise, key features, genres and launch status.
What Is Dear Passengers? Pre-Launch Overview
Quick answer: Dear Passengers is a first-person co-op game about crewing an airline that should not be allowed to fly. One player pilots the plane while the others work the cabin, hand out food and drinks, and keep small problems from turning into disasters. FLEXUS, a studio in Kyiv, Ukraine, is both the developer and the publisher, and this is its first PC release. Nothing is on sale yet: as of September 27, 2026 the Steam store shows only a Planned Release Date of 2026, no price, and no confirmed platform beyond Windows.

Confirmed facts about Dear Passengers
Every row below was read from the Steam store page and the Steam appdetails endpoint for app 4534960 on September 27, 2026. Where Steam has no answer, the table says so instead of guessing.
| Item | Confirmed status |
|---|---|
| Developer | FLEXUS |
| Publisher | FLEXUS (the same studio) |
| Steam app ID | 4534960 |
| Launch state | Coming soon; the banner reads "This game is not yet available on Steam" |
| Planned Release Date | 2026, with no month or day announced |
| Price | Not announced; the store page has no purchase block |
| Confirmed platform | Windows on Steam |
| User reviews | No user reviews, because the game has not launched |
The official one-line pitch sets the tone for everything else:
"Play in co-op as the crew of the world's worst airline. Your plane is falling apart, your cargo is illegal, and passenger safety barely makes the list."

Release date, price, and platform details are all still unannounced, so treat every item here as a snapshot and recheck the Steam page before you plan around it.
What the official About section says
The Steam About block is written as five shouted headings, and each one describes a slice of the game in the studio's own words.
- WORLD'S WORST AIRLINE IS HIRING! You and your friends are the crew, hired to deliver passengers and cargo to their destination, "preferably in one piece." One of you pilots while the others keep the cabin together and deal with whatever goes wrong.
- WELCOME TO BUDGET PREMIUM! Passengers expect food, drinks, and a smooth flight. The copy's instruction is to "try to provide at least two of those."
- MORE TROUBLE, MORE MONEY! Before takeoff you choose which passengers and cargo come aboard, and "the bigger the payout, the more trouble it usually causes."
- SAFETY IS OUR TOP-3 PRIORITY! Trouble can start anywhere onboard, and the section admits that "not every solution is elegant, and not every passenger stays onboard."
- ROUGH AIR AHEAD! Weather turns a normal flight into a disaster, with turbulence and air pockets throwing passengers, luggage, and anything loose around the cabin.
Those headings are the whole design pitch in miniature: a service job layered on top of a survival job. You are expected to feed people while the plane falls apart around you, and the money you take before takeoff decides how bad the flight gets. Full mechanic-by-mechanic coverage sits on the gameplay and features page.
The five official key features
Steam lists exactly five entries under KEY FEATURES. The rightmost column notes what each one means while the game is still unreleased.
| Official key feature | What it means before launch |
|---|---|
| Online co-op with friends | Steam categories list Single-player, Multi-player, Co-op, Online Co-op and Family Sharing. The player cap is not announced. |
| Pilot the plane or work inside the cabin | One seat at the controls, everyone else on cabin duty. Official copy confirms the split. |
| Physics-based passengers, cargo, and cabin chaos | Ragdoll bodies and loose objects; the Physics user tag backs this up. |
| Dynamic weather, turbulence, and air pockets | Weather is a hazard system, not background decoration. |
| Risky passengers and high-paying cargo | A pre-flight risk and reward choice on every run. |
How the crew actually splits the job
The loadout is the core idea. Official copy says one player pilots while the others keep the cabin together, serve passengers, and handle whatever goes wrong before it gets much worse. A July 31, 2026 Steam news post went further with the line "YOU FULLY CONTROL THE PLANE!", which answers a common pre-launch worry that flying would be a scripted rail.
Kotaku opened its July 14, 2026 piece with the three words that explain the appeal: "Proximity chat. Ragdoll physics. And unruly passengers intent on ruining the flight for everyone else." Voice that cuts out when the speaker leaves the room, bodies that fold over armrests, and passengers who need to be thrown out of the hatch all point at the same kind of comedy: physical, social, and improvised. Whether the four-player figure you see circulating is real is covered on the co-op page, where the official answer is still that no player cap has been published.
No official copy claims management, routing, or economics loops. The only decision layer described so far is picking passengers and cargo before takeoff. User tags such as Time Management and Management are player-applied labels, not a design document.
Genres, tags, and what kind of game it is
Steam gives three official genres, then a longer list of user-defined tags. The distinction matters because tags are written by shoppers, not by FLEXUS.
| Category | Values (read September 27, 2026) |
|---|---|
| Official genres | Action, Adventure, Indie |
| Popular user tags | Multiplayer, Funny, Online Co-Op, Co-op, Comedy, Action, Free to Play, Adventure, Physics, First-Person, 3D, Flight, Indie, Exploration, Parody, Atmospheric, Action Roguelike, Colorful, Time Management, Management |
| Perspective | First-person |
| View of pricing | The Free to Play tag is user-applied; pricing has not been announced |
Language support is narrow and honest: six interface languages (English, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Turkish, Ukrainian, Japanese) with no full audio and no subtitles marked at all. For what that means at launch, see the price breakdown, which also explains why a user tag is not a price.
How the press first covered Dear Passengers
Kotaku published the first Western coverage on July 14, 2026, the same day the game was revealed, under a headline calling it a potential viral "friendslop" obsession. The piece is careful rather than promotional, closing with the line that the game "might be the next big thing in friendslop, or it might just be benefitting from a perfectly cut game trailer." It carries no wishlist figures at all, because it shipped before any existed.
Numbers arrived later, from the studio itself:
| Date | Figure | Source |
|---|---|---|
| July 13, 2026 | Main trailer published | Official FLEXUS Games channel |
| July 15, 2026 | 700,000 wishlists in 36 hours | Official Steam news |
| July 16, 2026 | 1,000,000 wishlists, Steam most-wishlisted Top 25 | Official Steam news |
| July 31, 2026 | 2,000,000 wishlists in two weeks and Steam Top 6 | FLEXUS Steam news post |
| September 21, 2026 | Third on Steam's most-wishlisted chart | GamesRadar+ reporting |
Those are wishlist counts, not players and not sales. The same chart placement is what pushed the studio, which had never released a game on Steam, into headlines; background on the maker sits on the developer page, and the genre label the studio adopted for itself is unpacked on the friendslop page.
